tasmania: road to cradle mountain

So we got up real early, took our turns to take our morning showers, and off we went on the road to Cradle Mountain. But first, coffee.

Since Croplines was pretty bad, we decided to just try our luck at the nearest Hudson Coffee. Or was it the only one?

The journey was BEAUTIFUL.

There were so many photos that I wanted to take, but sadly I was behind the wheel. It was like driving through a mystical land, with fog on the highway. We did stop from time to time to capture some beautiful scenery though!

It was one of the best drives I've ever had in my life, felt like I was in a Toyota commercial or something, driving on roads with red-leaved trees lining both sides (sadly not illustrated here).

We did, however, waste heaps of petrol and time due to our stupid GPS which brought us through about an hour of gravel/forest roads. When we reached a dead end, we knew the purple line couldn't be trusted. Darn technology.

We arrived much later than expected, but it was all worth it. Watch out for the next post!

In other news, I baked my very first cheesecake. I've posted this on Facebook AND Twitter, but I think it deserves a place here too. WOOHOO!
